The window is nice, there’s a lot of light – but the view? Not so good?
Here are a few tricks to help you enjoy the window, but disguise the view.
> Bring in the sunshine with flowers and plants. Stencil flower and leaf designs around the window creating a frame. Hang a window box – inside – directly below the window sill. You can always use silk flowers if you don’t have a green thumb or don’t want the fuss of real plants.
> Carry the indoor garden them further and distract the eye a bit more by tacking a pretty trellis or lattice over the window. Hang gracefully trailing potted plants above the window or place a tall potted tree in front of it.
> If shutters don’t appeal to you, or you’d like to let in more light, check the hardware store for radiator grids and screen door gaurds. These come in either black or white with a variety of intricate patterns.

This is a really good tip, especially the silk flowers suggestion. I definitely don’t have the time or the green thumb to take care of real flowers.
