1. Crochet a rug from recycled plastic bags (take the time to really check out the site – this lady is very creative and it doesn’t get any thriftier than this!)

2. Crochet a rag rug using old T-shirts. This one has a great picture tutorial to go with it

4. A selection of very nice knit rugs from FreePatterns.com – it only takes a minute to register and get the patterns and it’s all free!

5. Make a braided rug

10. Paint an indoor/outdoor rug and turn it into something you’ll be happy to own
